Oliver Duncan, 86, Of Eldon Dies
ELDON (Special) - Oliver Duncan, 86, native and long-time resident, died Friday at his home. Mr. Duncan lived in Marshall many years before moving to Eldon 15 years ago.
He was born June 20, 1874, in Eldon to James and Livonia Cotten Duncan.
The Rev. M. A. Younger, pastor of the First Baptist Church will conduct services at 2 p.m. Monday in a local funeral home. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife, the former Louise Ayres, whom he married March 12, 1913; a son, Ralph, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Chenoweth of Webb City; a sister, Mrs. Zona Hardy of Eldon, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
