AGED PIONEER WAS BROTHER OF MRS. BELLE SMITH
Tom Yeargain, 89 years old, pioneer citizen, died at his home near White Rock, Mo., 14 miles north of Bentonville, Monday, his death following a second attack of apoplexy. He came from Tennessee in the early days of this section and was widely known.
He is survived by two sons, Walter and Curt Yeargain, of near White Rock, and by a daughter, Mrs. W.J. Banks, of Hiwasse.
He is survived also by a sister, Mrs. Belle Smith, of Bentonville, and a nephew, Joe Gailey, of Bentonville, former sheriff and former tax collector of Benton County. Other surviving relatives include two nephews and a niece, Crissey and Nathan Smith and Mrs. Elbert Albertson, of Bentonville.
Funeral service and burial were at White Rock Tuesday afternoon.
