Homer Wesley Dutton, 98, of Shell Knob, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. John's Hospital in Berryville, Ark.
Mr. Dutton was born Oct. 4, 1912, in Fayetteville, Ark., the son of John and Bertha (Cawthon) Dutton. On March 31, 1981, in Kansas City, he was united in marriage to Norma Deanne Wilburn. She survives.
Homer received his elementary education in Rogers, Ark. He graduated from University High School in West Los Angeles, Calif.. He graduated from Santa Monica Technical College. He worked for McDonald Douglas Air Craft. After his retirement, he moved to Emerald Beach and then to Shell Knob in 1984, where he was a land developer. He was a member of Lohmer Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include: one son, Drew Dutton of Austin, Texas; one daugher, Debra Dutton of Norco, Calif.; two step-daughters, Teresa Thompson of Rogers, Ark. and Tonya Painter of Shell Knob; one brother, Hubert Dutton of Kansas; one sister, Earline Ward of Rogers, Ark.; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-daughter, Torri Brady; one step-great-granddaughter; one brother; and two sisters.
Services were held Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Lohmer Full Gospel Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor David Donaldson officiated. Burial was in McGuire Cemetery, Shell Knob.
