John Franklin Andrews, 93, of Los Vegas, Nev. passed away peacefully on September 23, 2014 at the home of his son Todd and daughter-in-law Lisa Andrews in Las Vegas.

He was born December 1, 1920 in Flemington, Mo., to Ray and Janie Pearl Andrews.

John grew up in Flemington and served in the Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945. In the early 1950's John moved to Southern California and eventually made his home in Oceanside, Calif., where he worked in the construction and contracting field for his brother H.R. Andrews.

John met and married his wife Sandy in Oceanside and had three loving boys together; Mark, Todd and Chris. John was also father to Johnny, his son from a previous marriage. John moved to Las Vegas 2 1/2 years ago to be near his family in his older years.

He is survived by his brother, Joe Andrews of Bellflower, Calif.; sister, Mary Brown of Edgerton, Kan.; brother, Roland (Mary Anne) Andrews of Milton, Iowa. He is also survived by his sons Mark Andrews of Benicia, Calif.; Todd (Lisa) Andrews; grandchildren, Brady, Brooke and Brilee of Las Vegas and Chris Andrews of Henderson, Nev.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandy Andrews; brothers, Carl Andrews, Harold Andrews, Vincent Andrews, Roscoe Andrews; sister, Martha Morrison and son, Johnny Andrews.

He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He was truly loved and will be forever remembered.

Per his wishes, John will be laid to rest near his parents October 11th at Rondo Cemetery in Bolivar, Mo.

Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar will be handling the interment.
