* AKA Two Mile Island: Description: A small island in the St. Francois River. D.W. Moore, who was the second white child born in the county, owned land there and named the island because it was two miles from town (Kennett). It is also locally known as Kinfolks Island, because of the many relatives of the Moore family who live on the island. (Campbell, Burnett, Crawford)
