BELLA VISTA — William Gustave Mattes Jr., 65, of Bella Vista died Jan. 12, 2007, at his home in Bella Vista. He was born on Jan. 2, 1942, in Chicago to William Gustave Mattes and Ruth Lorraine Mattes Obermann.
He was Air Force veteran. He moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1970 from San Diego. He worked for R.T.W. of Rogers for more than 24 years. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Paula K. Mattes of Bella Vista; two sons, William G. Mattes III of Rogers, Paul J. Mattes and wife Agenia of Bella Vista; one sister, Christine Clardy of Bentonville, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills
Blvd., Bella Vista, 72715. Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, online at www.funeralmation.com.
