Richard Christian Scheihing, age 79, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home. Mr. Scheihing was born in Poplar Bluff, MO on Sunday, July 13, 1941. He was the son of Rev. Chris and Kathryn (Short) Scheihing. Mr. Scheihing graduated from Branson High School in 1959 and attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO where he obtained an Associates of Business degree. He married Judy Crosby on Saturday, June 15, 1963 in Branson, MO. Mr. Scheihing was the Executive Vice President and Compliance Officer at 1st State Bank in Pierce City, MO from 1969 through his retirement on May 31. 2008. He also sold insurance during that time. Mr. Scheihing attended First Baptist Church in Pierce City, MO for many years and served as Deacon. Later, he attended First Baptist Church in Monett where he was active as a Sunday School teacher and mowed the lawn. His hobbies included wood carving, stained glass and leather work, traveling, reading, collecting guns, and target shooting. Mr. Scheihing always enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was active in community activities and civic organizations.
