WEBB CITIAN DEAD AT 98 Body of John T. Walton Brought to Ulmer-Drake Home John Thomas Walton, 98, died at noon today at the home of Mrs. Rose Haywood in Webb City, where he had lived the last seven years. Mr. Walton was born November 4, 1833, in Ohio.
The body was brought to the Ulmer Drake funeral home here. Funeral arrangements are incomplete

A SCOUT IN INDIAN WAR J. T. Walton, Dead at 98, Served With Colorado Volunteers
Funeral services for J. T. Walton, 98, resident of Jasper county about 50 years who died yesterday at the home of Mrs. Rose Haywood in Webb City, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Ulmer-Drake funeral home. Mrs. Ed C. Ulmer will sing. Burial will be in the Carterville cemetery.
Mr. Walton was scout for the Colorado volunteers during the Indian troubles in 1864. As far as known there are only two of these scouts now living.
