Dave Beck who lives south of Cassville, received word last week that his son, Elza Beck, had passed away on November 8th in a hospital in Newfoundland. Death was a result of burns from acid on October 16th. Eliza and his family were here last August for a visit with his father and other relatives. He had been in Newfoundland but a few weeks prior to his death. Word has come that Elza's body left Newfoundland for New York where it is expected to arrive on the 18th. From New York it will be sent directly to Cassville and is expected to arrive the very last of the week. His wife and little son are accompanying the body.

For the past twelve years Elza had been employed by the Chicago Iron Bridge Co. Funeral arrangements are yet incomplete.
