Cordelia Catherine Dunaway Halling was born in the state of Tennessee, August 29, 1849. She passed from this life April 11, 1938, being 89 years, 8 months and 13 days of age.
She came to Cassville, Mo., when two years of age, afterward moving to Ft. Scott, Kans. during the Civil War, moving back here 42 years ago. She was united in marriage to John Halling in 1872 and to this union were born eleven children, eight now living. Mr. Halling departed this life eight years ago. The children now living are: J. L. Halling of Deerfield, Kansas, Minnie Davis of Hutchinson, Kansas, Emma Roberts of Inglewood, Calif., W. H. Halling of Jet-More Kansas, Treacy Regan of Joplin, Mo., Ida Eppard of Lanagan, Mo., Annie Chaney of Anderson and Rebecca Elliff of Pineville. Also surviving are four sisters and one brother, forty-two grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
