Davidson, Mrs William -- died 26 May 1910. She was born Ester Mary Smith, daughter of Eli & Julia Smith, at New Lexington, Perry Co., OH, 25 October 1847. In 1857 she came with her parents to Worth CO, MO and settled on a farm which afterwards became the site of Smithton, the first county seat of Worth CO. In 1865 her parents moved to Independence, MO. She married William, 15 March 1871. He was of Humbult CO, CA. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to CA for 1 year. They returned to Smithton and in 1890 moved to western Kansas. Lived there until 1898 and returned to Worth CO. Nine children were born. Present at the funeral were son-in-law, J.R. Green, of Kirwin, KS; dau-in-law, Mrs. C.E. Davidson; a sister Mrs. H.C. Miller, of Seneca, MO and Mrs. William Hibbs and daughter of Sheridan, MO. Burial in the family cemetery on the old Smithton farm, beside her parents.

Inscription: Thy Life was beauty, truth, goodness and love.
