Mrs. W.E. Cowell, 34, wife of W.E. Cowell, of near Denton, died at her home Tuesday morning at six o'clock.
Mrs. Cowell has been suffering for the past three weeks with pneumonia. She had lived near Steele for the past 20 years, having a host of friends, whom she leaves to mourn her departure.
She is survived by her husband; four children: Lotus, Netis, Audrey and Joe Earl and one sister, Miss Ollie James.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday by the Reverend J.E. Evans, Baptist Minister of East Prairie and interment was made in Lester Cemetery with the Smith Undertaking Company in charge.
