Pleas Jarred, age 61 years, 9 months and 4 days passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff Tuesday night, March 5, 1957 shortly after he was admitted. He had been ill for the past month.
Mr. Jarred was a retired farmer in the Denton community where he had lived for many years. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at Denton, Thursday at 2:00 p.m., and interment was in the Lester Cemetery at Denton. Rev. Glenn conducted the services. German Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Pearl Jarred of Denton; three sons, Henry of Granite City, Ill., Leroy and Lesper of Denton; and a daughter, Donna Faye, of Denton
