A life-long resident of south central Missouri, Franklin Price Grogan, 96, died Dec. 23, 1985, at Ozark Medical Center, West Plains. Grogan was born in Texas County on March 15, 1890, the fourth child of John E. and Catherine N. Grogan.
His parents, one sister, Addie B. Hall, and five brothers, William, Henry, Robert, Sherman and Riley preceded him in death.
He was married to Mollie Ford in 1912, who died in 1936.
Eight of their nine children also preceded him in death.
On Sept. 6, 1939, he was married to Iva Alderson Underwood who survives him.
He also is survived by two daughters, Ethel Crabtree of Elk Creek, MO; Frankie Beaird of Affton, MO; two sons, Tony of Willow Springs, MO; Truman of Springfield, MO; two step-daughters, Louise Stark of New London and Margaret Jackson of Overland; one brother, Archie of Elk Creek, MO.
Services were at Trinity Baptist Church in Willow Springs conducted by the Rev. Sidney Williamson. Burial was at Howell County Memorial Gardens. [HOUSTON HERALD, Jan/9, 1986]
