Funeral services for Ruby Mabel Braddock, 94, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bryan died at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at NHC Healthcare.
She was born July 16, 1918, in Mercer County, Missouri, to Fay Thomas Carter and Maud Hulda Rust Carter. On March 8, 1941, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Walter Elmer Braddock, who preceded her in death April 20, 2002. She received her education at the Big Springs School, and along with her husband was a farmer and owner and operator of Braddock Lake Resort. Mrs. Braddock was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one sister, Hazel Smallwood, Wilder, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two sisters, Bessie Johnson and Edna Smallwood, two brothers, Eldon Carter and Ray Carter, precede her in death.
Mrs. Braddock will lie in state from 4:00 p.m., Friday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Thornton Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com.
