Funeral services for Eblin H. "Red" Redburn, 82, Thayer, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2011 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Redburn died 10:10 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in West Vue Nursing Center. He was born December 29, 1928 near Koshkonong, Missouri to Martin Jason and Emma Lula Jolliff Redburn. On September 23, 1950, Mr. Redburn was married at Salem, Arkansas to Pauline I. Long and to this union, two children were born, Janice Lynn and Jackie Lee Redburn. He was a veteran having served from 1952 until 1954 with the United States Army Combat Engineers during the Korean Conflict. Before his retirement, Mr. Redburn worked nineteen years at the Richards Brothers Milling Company and was a well known farmer. He was a life-time member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows #263, West Plains, Missouri. Mr. Redburn was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Redburn, of the family home; one son, Jackie Lee Redburn, wife, Barbara, Ozark, Missouri; three grandchildren, Micke L. Scott, Ozark, Missouri, Erica Ann Skinner, husband, John David, Springfield, Missouri and Jason E. Redburn, wife, Meredith, Springfield, Missouri; son-in-law, Larry J. Anderson, Thayer, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. His parents, one daughter, Janice Lynn Anderson and twelve brothers and sisters precede him in death. Mr. Redburn loved his family and will be sadly missed. He will lie in state from 12:00 p.m., Thursday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Pauline Redburn was born in Crider, Missouri, the daughter of Luther Long and Ada Merritt Long on March 16, 1930 and departed this life on October 8, 2019 in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage to Eblin Redburn in 1950. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2011.
She is survived by her son, Jackie Redburn of Thayer, Missouri; three grandchildren, Micke, Erica and Jason; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Henry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbin Redburn; her parents, Luther and Ada Long; her daughter Janice Anderson; three brothers, Adam Long, Harold Long and Lawrence Long; two sisters, Earnistine Endicott and Lorene Burkhart; one half-brother and one half-sister.
Mrs. Redburn was an excellent cook and was known for her beautiful and delicious peach cobblers. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and was an avid Cardinals fan.
She will be remembered as a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and a friend to all. She was a member of the Thayer Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Pauline Redburn, age 89, of Thayer, Missouri, will be held Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.
The body will lie in state at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer on Sunday, October 13th from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, in West Plains, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc in Thayer.
