Mrs. Emma Jane Brooks, age 66, died Monday in Caruthersville, after an extended illness.
She had been a resident of Pemiscot County all of her life and had made her home with Mrs. Dora Brooks for a good many years before going to live with a sister, Mrs. Ed Smith in Caruthersville, where she died. She was the wife of the late Fernander John "Jadie" Brooks, who died in 1922.
Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday), at th Methodist Church with the Rev. M.E. Niblack conducting.
She is survived by a son, Harry Brooks of Blytheville, Ark., and a daughter, Mrs. S.T. McClure of Muskegon Heights, Mich., and a brother, Charles Ketchum, of Steele.
