Mrs. Macie Cecil, age 41, died Friday morning at her home near Denton, after a several months' illness of dropsy. Mrs. Cecil had lived her entire life in this community and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Flowers.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Statler, three sons, Johnnie, Henry and Felix Cecil; one brother, Robert Flowers and two grandchildren, James Cecil and James Everett Statler. A niece, May Jane Flowers, and two nephews, Claud and Clarence Flowers, also survive, besides a large number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Pentecost Church in Denton, by the pastor, Rev. C.W. Vanbibber of Blytheville. Burial was made in Mount Zion Cemetery. German Undertaking Co. had charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Paul Prim, Jim Statler, Elmer Lane, Ollie Frakes, Clyde Frakes, and Walter Key.
