Mary Elizabeth Singleton Roe, 80, died May 15, 1989, at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at Hayti, Mo.

Born August 13, 1908 in Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Ethel Stout Singleton.

A member of the Tyler Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.

On July 15, 1924 she married Nathan Clinton Wallace, who preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Steve Davis Wednesday, May 17, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. from Bradshaw's German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel, in Steele, Missouri. Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with arrangements by German-Aumon Funeral Home.

She leaves one daughter, Mary Redden, of Steele; two brothers; Eddie Hugh Singleton and John Thomas Singleton, both of Payneway, Ark.; ten grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
