Christopher Matthew Williamson, of Willow Springs, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Shannon County due to natural causes. Born February 22, 1959 to Arthur Clifford and Doris Louise (Turner) Williamson in Mountain View, MO; he was 58 years old.
Chris was a lifelong resident of Willow Springs. He passed away while doing what he loved, deer hunting on opening day of the 2017 firearm season. He became a certified/licensed HAM radio operator and was a member of the Amateur Radio Club of Ozark County (ARCO). His call sign was KEODPX. The reason this hunting trip was so special to Chris was that he was hunting with his HAM radio friends. Chris had many enjoyments in life which included watching the History Channel, painting landscapes, and sitting outside his home in the country to simply watch the wildlife. He also liked politics, however, he especially loved spending time with his mom, Doris. Chris loved to decorate for holidays, especially St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. He especially looked forward with great anticipation to the holiday meals. He would spend his Sunday mornings listening to gospel singing and reading his Bible. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Chris is survived by his mother, Doris; his brother, Art Williamson and his wife, Bryce of Houston, MO and his niece, Abby Williamson of Knoxville, TN.
Graveside services for Chris will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Willow Springs City Cemetery with Pastor Scott Williamson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
