Olis Lewis Wiles was born April 5, 1941 in Maries County, Missouri, the son of Tony and Jeannetta (Jones) Wiles. He passed away January 23, 2019 at Missouri University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. He was 77 years old. On June 2, 1963 he was married to Sharon Martin at Iberia, Missouri and they had 55 years together. They were blessed with two sons, Lewis Brian and Rodney Leon.
Olis was a Godly man and a faithful member of the Willow Springs Church of Christ.
In 1960 he started his career of shoe making with Brown Shoe Company in Owensville, MO. In 1966 he was employed by Conaway Winter, Inc. in Willow Springs as superintendent of manufacturing and later making patterns, which he enjoyed very much.
He loved his family, enjoyed gardening, and working with his cattle. He also loved singing gospel songs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; two sons, Lewis Wiles and wife, Elizabeth, of Rolla, MO and Rodney Wiles and wife, Sherry, of Willow Springs, MO; seven special grandchildren, Brooke, David, Jacob, Jessica, Emma, Michael and John; one sister, Goldie Jennings, Washington, MO; nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Truman and MaryAnn Wiles, Allen and Ruth Wiles; and brother-in-law, Linford Jennings.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Church of Christ, Willow Springs, MO with Minister Andrew Bryan officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening also at the Church of Christ. Interment will be in Willow Springs City Cemetery, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home, Strafford, MO. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
