Mrs. Mary Ann Wiles of Willow Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo. Born on Oct. 5, 1933, in Rolla, Mo., to Berry and Nancy (Simpson) Hance, she was 77 years old. Mrs. Wiles grew up in Dixon, Mo., where she graduated from high school. On Aug. 19, 1952, in Dixon, Mo., she married Truman Wiles. To this union, one son was born. Mrs. Wiles has been a resident of Willow Springs since 1960. She and her husband raised purebred Angus cattle, and Mrs. Wiles enjoyed showing them at cattle shows. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Willow Springs. Mrs. Wiles was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Wiles is survived by her husband, Truman Wiles of Willow Springs; her son, the Honorable Judge Truman L. Wiles and his wife Pam of Willow Springs; and a granddaughter, Phoebe Wiles of Columbia, Mo. Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Willow Springs. Burial followed Thursday's service at the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Willow Funeral Home. [howellcountynews.com, Jan 7, 2011]

Truman T. Wiles, a long time resident of Willow Springs, passed away the morning of Thursday, April 30, 2015, while at his home in Willow Springs, MO. Born April 21, 1933 in Maries County, Missouri to Tony and Jeannetta (Jones) Wiles; he was 82 years old.
On August 29, 1952; he was married to Mary Ann Hance. To this union one child was born. Truman spent his early years working in shoe factories in Dixon, MO; Searcy, AR; and Jonesboro, AR. Truman and his family moved to Willow Springs from Jonesboro, AR in 1960. Truman began his career at Conaway-Winter, Inc. as Executive Vice-President in charge of manufacturing. In 1986 Truman purchased Conaway-Winter, Inc. and continued as President of the company. Truman was an avid shoe maker and believed in the importance of creating jobs for the community. Truman continued in his position as President of the company until the shoe industry faded away. Conaway-Winter, Inc was one of the last shoe companies to manufacture shoes in the United States.
In 1966, Truman purchased his first farm in Willow Springs. In 1967, he purchased his first registered Angus cow. Truman and Mary Ann raised registered Angus cattle for years. Truman loved working on the farm. Nothing made him happier than being outside working on the farm. Truman was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Willow Springs. Truman loved the outdoors and in his younger years loved hunting. However, he especially liked spending time with his granddaughter Phoebe. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann Wiles; and a brother Allen Wiles.
He is survived by his son Truman L. Wiles and his wife Pam; and his granddaughter Phoebe. He also leaves one brother, Olis Wiles and his wife Sharon of Willow Springs, MO; and a sister Goldie Jennings and her husband Linford of Dixon, MO. [willowspringsfuneralhome.com]
