Paul Edward Knaak, 83 of Cabool, MO passed away on October 3, 2018 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, MO he was born on December 8, 1934 in Ottawa, IA the son of Otto and Cleo (Lathrom) Knaak.
The family moved to the Cabool area where Paul graduated from Cabool High School in 1953, he then married his high school sweetheart, Wanda Adkison. Paul enlisted in the US Army in 1954 and served in Korea during war time.
After his discharge from the Army, Paul and Wanda moved to Wichita, KS where he worked for Boeing Airlines for several years. They later moved back to Cabool and Paul and his brother-in-law, Bob Adkison, opened a gas station, B and P Conoco in 1959. In 1972, he opened Pauls Auto Supply and Service Center which he retired from in 1995.
Paul rode a motorcycle all his life, traveling to every state. Paul and his son, Steven, went to many bike rallies together later in life and he also liked going fishing with his son, Marty. After retirement, Paul and Wanda camped in a travel trailer around the United States for many years; camping for 3 to 4 months at a time.
Paul gave his life to the Lord as a young man and was a lifetime member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Cabool. He loved to play his guitar in church, over the years he played with several different gospel bands.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda and his brother, Richard Knaak. He is survived by his sons, Steve Knaak and wife, Sherry of Ozark, MO and Marty Knaak of Cabool, MO; three grandchildren, Cody Knaak of Nixa, MO, Stephanie Maige and Stacey Fawbush of Ozark, MO and seven great grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Wanda Lea Knaak, 78 of Cabool, MO passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO. She was born on March 13, 1937 in rural Pulaski County, MO the daughter of Harry H. Adkison and Sylvia (Vaughan) Adkison. The farm in which her and her siblings were born on was purchased in 1941 by Ft. Leonard Wood. The family relocated at this time and purchased a farm south of Elk Creek, MO where she was raised.
Wanda attended the one room Victor School through her elementary years and completed her education at Cabool High School where she met the love of her life Paul Knaak and they were united in marriage in 1954. She went to work at the Brown Shoe Company where she worked until the factory closed.
After retirement, Wanda and Paul enjoyed camping across the United States. Wanda gave her life to the Lord when she was a young girl and was a lifetime member of the Cabool First Free Will Baptist Church in Cabool where she also played the piano for many years.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Sylvia Adkison; and infant brother, Warren and a sister, Gloria. She is survived by her husband Paul of Cabool, MO; two sons, Steve Knaak and wife, Sherry of Ozark, MO and Marty Knaak of Cabool, MO; three grandchildren, Cody Knaak of Nixa, MO, Stephanie Maige and Stacey Fawbush both of Ozark, MO; she was also blessed with six great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry, Jr and wife Lallia of Union, MO and Bob and wife, Mable of Mtn. Grove, MO. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
