Jim Ice, 77, son of J.J. and Ola Morgan Ice, was born Sept. 28, 1928, at Cabool. He died July 28, 2006, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was a 1947 graduate of Cabool High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.
For most of his life, he owned and operated a service station near Cabool.
He married Dixie Coble April 1953. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.
At an early age, he became a follower of Christ and was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Cabool. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Hopedale Baptist Church at Ozark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters,
Surviving are his wife and daughter, Rita.

Dixie C. Ice was born May 6, 1933, in Douglas County, Missouri, to Ned and Irene Orr Coble. She died August 22, 2018, at Ozark Riverview Manor, Ozark, Missouri.



On April 19, 1953, she was married to Jim W. Ice who preceded her in death in 2006. She spent her life assisting Jim in his service station business and being a wife and mother. She loved her family.



She spent most of her life in Cabool, MO, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Cabool, MO. She and Jim moved to Ozark, MO, in later years and she was a member of Hopedale Baptist Church, Ozark, MO, at the time of her death.



Survivors include one daughter, Rita Stark and husband, Don, Nixa, MO, and sisters Dolores Barr and husband, Roy, West Plains, MO, and Charlotte Curtis, New Port Richey, Florida. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed recent visits by many of her nieces and nephews as far away as California and Florida.
