CARTHAGE, Mo. — Lois Grace Mueting Murray, 82, of Carthage died Oct. 27, 2007, at Laguna Nigel, Calif. She was born Sept. 3, 1925, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Obie and Aletha Mueting. She graduated from St. Agnes Catholic High School and received nurse's training at O'Reilly Hospital in Springfield, Mo. She was a surgical nurse during World War II. She was a longtime resident of Carthage and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She was active in the Cursillo movement. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Murray, to whom she was married on May 31,1947.

Survivors include four sons, John Murray II and David Murray of Joplin, Mo., Kelly Murray of Columbia, Md., Chris Murray of Webb City, Mo.; nine daughters, Lynn Hall of Carthage, Ann Parker of Webb City, Becky Brothers of Lowell, Jill Hunter of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Beth Murray of Los Angeles, Elaine Childs of Reeds, Mo., Amy McConnell and Dana Wynn of Wilmington, N.C., and Shannon Lee of Sanford, N.C.; one brother, Mark Mueting of Tulsa; Okla.; one sister, Gail Mueting of Dallas, Ore.; 28 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Hodgson officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.

Prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Knell Mortuary in Carthage.
