Harold Chester Clingenpeel, 81, a retired Empire District Electric Company employee who resided in Goodman, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sale Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Goodman Baptist Church with Rev. Jim E. Royce of Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery under the direction of the Rapp Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 1 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. Clingenpeel had been an employee of the Empire District Electric Company for 19 years. His wife died in 1951, a few days after they had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Surviving are three sons, Floyd Clingenpeel of Gilroy, Calif., Kenneth Clingenpeel of Kansas City and Walter Clingenpeel of Columbus, Kans., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
