Obituary
Fleta Rudy Estep, 95, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a Neosho native and former resident, died Thursday, April 13, 1989, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Estep was born September 10, 1893, daughter of Rylen Barnett Rudy and Ada Campbell Rudy, and lived much of her life in the house located at 156 S. High Street. In the 1920's, she had a kindergarten in her home with several of the students later to become very prominent. She also taught music in her home studio for many years. She was very active in music and served as choir direvtor and soloist for the First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving as a deaconess and president of the women's association of the church. She was also a member of the Kiwanitis organization in Tulsa. She was active in the Tulsa Boys Home, serving on the board of directors.

She married Lloyd Estep on July 23, 1938. He died in July 1975.

Survivors include nieces, Betty Lou Rudy, Tampa, Florida, Mary Jane Hoffman, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Virginia Howard, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Lucille Parks, San Marcos, Texas and four nephews, Rylen Rudy, Neosho, Earl Rudy, Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Murray, Houston, Texas and John Barlow, New Orleans, Louisiana.
