Mildred Jean Murphy
August 24, 1927 - June 23, 2010

Mildred Young was born August 24, 1927 in Nixa, Missouri and went to be with the Lord June 23, 2010. She married Chesley Murphy in August 1945.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Mary Young, a brother, Clyde, and her husband, Ches. She is survived by three daughters, Paula Hobbs and her husband, Dennis; Kathie Phillips and her husband, Larry; and Julie Loss and her husband, Robert, all of the Springfield area; eight grandchildren, Brooke, Bradley and Ryan Hobbs, Ami (Phillips) Rohr and Kevin Phillips, and John, Jordan and Janssen Dunlop; and four great-grandchildren, Mason, Bryce, Carter and Preston Rohr. She is also survived by an aunt, Jewel Cannady and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Grier and Bobbie Gott, who were all three like sisters to her.
The family would also like to acknowledge a longtime neighbor and loyal friend, LaNelle Stander. Midge spent her lifetime being a devoted mother and grandmother. She said to her daughters in the final days "You girls are my life". She was known for her kind heart, smiling face, and unwavering faith. Though missed by many, we find comfort knowing there is a special place reserved for her in Heaven.
