Union Civil War
February 8, 1820 - February 14, 1891
General Sherman was an American soldier, businessman, educator and author. He served as a General in the Union Army during the Civil War. He was recognized for his outstanding command of military strategy.
He married Ellen Ewing. He was the father of Thomas, Eleanor, Philemon Tecumseh, Mary Elizabeth, William, Marie, Charles Celestine & Rachel Sherman.
