Charles Hensley, 69, of Dyersburg, Tenn., formerly of Holland, Mo., died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at his home.
Born May 8, 1933 in Holland, he was the son of the late Ed Hensley and Jane Fretwell Hensley.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Marie Howe and Flora Armstrong; and two brothers: Carl Hensley and Burl Hensley.
He was a mechanic and of the Church of God faith.
Mr. Hensley leaves one son, Mark Charles Hensley, of Maine; one daughter, Angelia Gammons, of Dyerburg; one sister, Juanita Sutton of Brunswick, Ga.; six grandchildren: Cassandra Hensley, Tyler Gammons, Dustin Gammons, Chad Gammons, Cody Gammons, and Destiny Gammons and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne.
Funeral services for Mr. Hensley were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2002 at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Mo., with Rev. Charles Faught officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Roy Howe, Mike Gammons, Dustin Gammons, Jimmy Evans, Tim Ward, and David Dillard. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Gammons and Chad Gammons.
