Funeral services for Otto C. Scott were conducted Sunday, February 10, 1974, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. Vernon Reese and the Rev. Fred Albright officiating.
Mr. Scott was born February 12, 1884, at Cullman, Ala., and died February 6, 1974 at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti at the age of 89.
He was a retired farmer and the son of William and Mary Scott.
Mr. Scott was married to Ollie Stanton at New Albany, Miss., on April 4, 1904. Mrs. Scott preceded him in death.
He leaves two sons, Gassie Scott of LaCenter, Ky., and Earnest O. Scott of Holland; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Morgan of Van Buren, Mrs. Lucille Douglass, Mrs. Dorothy Wagner and Mrs. Lola Wagner, all of Steele; and Mrs. Mary Clift of Castro Valley, Calif.; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hubert Ham, Jackie McGee, Les Jackson, Calvin Jackson, Ott Davis, Pete Sandage, Gardner Norrid, and Olan Pirce.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
