Funeral services for Mr. William Cleveland Scott, 91, were held Saturday, October 27, 2:00 p.m., at the Samford Church of Christ. Mr. Walter Lumpkin and Mr. Mickey Harrison officiated.
Mr Scott was born October 29, 1892, in Hickman, Ky., and died October 24, 1984, at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I.
The son of the late Albert Scott and Narcie James Scott, he was united in marriage to Lela Belle White in Blytheville on May 31, 1919. Besides his wife, a son, preceded him in death.
He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Northern, of Steele; Five grandchildren, Stanley Northern of Kennett, Shelia Northern of Steele, Barry Ray Scott of Charleston, Mo., Glenda Kay Herring of Napa, Ca., and Gary Wayne Scott, of Napa; Two half-sisters, Mrs. Viola Wilson, of Hornersville, and Mrs. Rosie Lee Wood of Doniphan; and Ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kirby Wilson, Charles Sanford, Archie Scott, Randel Scott, Austin White, and Jerry Scott.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with The John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Services for Mrs. Lela Belle Scott, 75, formerly of Holland who died Feb. 5th at the hospital in Poplar Bluff, were held Feb. 7th at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Walter Lumpkin officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
She was born July 17th, 1901 in Holland, the daughter of the late Starlin and Martha White. She married W. Scott May 31st, 1919 in Blytheville, Ark.
Survivors include her husband of Doniphan; one son, Jefferson Ray Scott of San Pablo, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Northern of Steele; two sisters, Mrs. Birtie Goode of St. Louis and Mrs. Carrie Scott of Doniphan, one half-brother, Serling Wilson White of Logans Port, Ind.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ruben Biggs, Clifford Jackson, Clell Jackson, Gene Samford, Elmer Davis and Jack Samford.
