Steele, Mo. - Funeral services for Arthur D. Fielder, 74, owner and operator of the Steele Theater, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church. The Rev. Jas. F. McCrary, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Howard Conner, pastor of the the Methodist church. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mr. Fielder came to Steele from Marmarduke, Ark. in 1933 and began operation of the Steele Theater. He died Sunday morning from a heart attack, in the theater office.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie E. Fielder and one daughter, Mrs. Gladys McCollum, by a former marriage; two sisters and two brothers.
German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
