Final rites for Mrs. Hettie Ratterree were conducted Friday at two-thirty at Holland Baptist church by the Rev. Mr. Cooper. She passed away Wednesday afternoon after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Ratterree, who was 89, was the widow of Alonzo Ratterree. For years she had made her home with two daughters, Mrs. Maud Richard and Mrs. Grace Thompson, in Holland.
Born in Nashville, Tenn., she moved to Paris, Tenn. where she married in 1880. She was the former Miss Hettie Jane Bayne and one of Holland's oldest residents. Four children preceded her in death.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Holt Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge and burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Cooter.
