M.G. Turner, 83, of Steele, Mo., died Wednesday, October 21, 1998 at the Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.
Born Sunday, November 15, 1914 at Pontotoc, Miss., he was the son of the late Chesterfield and Juricha Wilson Turner. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.
Mr. Turner was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith.
He leaves his son, David Turner, of Memphis; Four daughters: Peggy Cochran of High Ridge, Mo., Ronda Hogan of Deering, Mo., Barbara McDaniel of Rossville, Tenn., and Deborah Brasfield of Germantown, Tenn.; One sister, Lillian McDaniel, of Advance, Mo.; Thirteen grandchildren; and Six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Turner were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 1998 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. A.B. Gardner and Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bradshaw Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Randy Powell, Teddy Potter, John Calhoun, Tommy Lebo, Chris Lewis and Damon Bush.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Jackson, Fred Swindle, Paul Hutchens, Percy Privett and Lenard Elder.
