James Lacy Statler of Steele was born March 11, 1917, in Hornersville and died November 8, 1982, at his home. He was 65.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 11, at 2:00 p.m. in the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Rev. Charles Faught officiated.
Mr. Statler leaves hiw wife, Thelma Statler of the home; Two daughters, Gayle Richardson and Glenda Sipes, both of Blytheville; One son, Wayne Statler of Rockford, Illinois; One sister, Louise Johnson of Frisco City, Alabama; Three brothers, Vacie Statler and Eugene Statler, both of Seadrift, Texas and Onnie Statler of Oviedo, Florida; and Five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wally Lipscomb, Willard Barnard, Burnis Stanfield, Bobbie Martin, Johnny Williams, and Merlon Barnard.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
