William Ethridge McCord, 67, died Sunday, September 9, 1990 at Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.
Son of the late William Alvin McCord and Josephine English McCord, he was born December 25, 1922, at Karnack, Texas.
A retired welder, he taught welding at Pemiscot Vo Tech School.
On May 3, 1952, he was united in marriage to Lucille Hatley at Steele, Mo.
Besides his parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lucille McCord of Holland, Mo.; two sons: Donald McCord and Michael McCord, both of Holland; two daughters: Mrs. Linda Nixon of Germany and Mrs. Sherry Spence of Steele, Mo.; two sisters: Mrs. Mae Ola Surguine of Las Vegas, Nev., and Miss Louise McCord of Karnack; and six grandchildren.
Rev. John Dunavant conducted funeral services Wednesday, September 12, 1990 at the Holland Baptist Church.
Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele.
Pallbearers were Gardner Norrid, Clail Jackson, William Waldrop, Jeff Thomas, Jerry Williams and Glenn Griffin.
