Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the Steele Methodist Church for Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Turner, 84, who died at her home in Steele Tuesday, after a long illness. Services were conducted by Rev. Marvin Niblack, pastor of the Methodist Church, with the German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Interment was at Mount Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner was a lifelong Christian and had been a member of the Methodist Church since childhood. She was born in Madison County, Tenn., and came to this community about 21 years ago, where she resided until her death.
Survivors include her husband, J.H. Turner of Steele; two sons: W.R. Turner of Steele and G.A. Turner of Milan, Tenn.; two daughters: Mrs. Mattie Freeland and Miss Stella Turner of Steele; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Homer Alexander, Jack Rude, S.L. Robinson, R.E.L. Smith, Joe Turnbow and Bert Poteet.
