Funeral services for Phyllis E. (Riley) Montgomery, 58, West Columbia, South Carolina, will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Union Grove Church near West Plains under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Montgomery died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina. She was born January 10, 1954 at West Plains, Missouri to Cecil Riley and Virginia Riley. She graduated from the West Plains High School with the Class of 1972 and married William (Steve) Montgomery. Mrs. Montgomery was a resident of Springfield, Missouri from 1972 until 1981, moving to Columbia, South Carolina in 1982. In 1973. she attended the Mid-America Draughon's College and was employed at the Plaza Shoe Store and Komark Automotive while living in Springfield, Missouri. Mrs. Montgomery also managed the Ace Glass Company and Porter Pantry while in South Carolina. She was of the Baptist faith and accepted Christ at an early age.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Montgomery, of the family home; daughters, Stephanie Mellott and special friend, Brad, and Jessica Goss; two grandchildren, Stone and Anna; her mother, Virginia Riley Guilliams and husband, Bill; brother, Mark Riley, wife, Yvonne and daughter, Caitlin; sister, Jean Ann Prevett and husband, Tom; sisters-in-law, Pat Wake and Barbara Eakin; and a host of other relatives.

Her father, nephew, Greg Prevett, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Flora Montgomery, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Union Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. On line condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com
