Elizabeth was the 3rd of eight children born to James Sappington and Cynthia P. Harrison. Her siblings: Sarah Ann, Thomas, Mark S., George Washington, Joseph W., Green H. and James Alexander.
Elizabeth married Pressley Osborne Parr, son of Rev. Berryman Turner and Martha C. (George) Parr, on 3 Mar 1853 at St. Louis, Missouri. They had eight children: Lorenzo, Missouri Elizabeth, William Andrew, Pressley Marion, Frances, Maggie, Nellie Ida and Green H. (died young).
After Elizabeth's death Pressley moved to Mallard, Texas and married again. He is buried there.
