William Shirley Farmer, 83, of Bartlett, Tenn., died July 17, 1988 at Baptist Central Hospital in Memphis. Born Feb. 18, 1905 in East Prairie, he was the son of Calvin and Mary Turner. He and his wife operated a dry cleaning business in Portageville for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Laden Farmer of Bartlett; Four nephews, Larry Hahs of Bartlett, Sonny Laden of Steele, C.B. Klene of Sun City, Ariz., and Sam Hahs of Edenburg, Texas; And one niece, Mrs. Palm Leaf Taylor of Graveside services were July 19 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, the Rev. Byron Edwards officiating, John W. German Funeral home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Rockey Booker, Truman Larue, Benny Jones and Sonny Laden.
