This community was saddened this (Thursday) morning by the death of Russell Gaston, 3 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaston Brown of this city. The little fellow was known as "Russie" and was one of the popular children in this community where his parents and grandparents have resided for many years.
He was taken to the Wall Hospital in Blytheville for an operation, and death was attributed to respiratory paralysis. His death occurred around 10 o'clock this morning.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gaston Brown and a little sister, Jeanette, 6 years of age, also his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Brown of near Cooter, and Mr. and Mrs. Burl Castman, also of Cooter.
At press hour, funeral arrangements were not definite, however, it is expected that the rites will be held from the Baptist Church in Steele, where little "Russie" attended Sunday School, and probably will be Friday afternoon.
