Clara Mae Hunt, 90, daughter of George and Rena Ensley Miller, was born Feb. 8, 1916, at Nekoma, Kan. She died Oct. 18, 2006.
She married Charles Hunt Nov. 28, 1938. The Hunts moved to the Solo community in 1942, where she was a homemaker. She loved gardening, tending her flowers and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003; one son, Donald Clyde Hunt; three brothers, Ike, George and Robert; and three sisters, Lydia Mills, Ina Williams and Daisy Ford. Surviving are one daughter, Doris Scheuer of Solo; one grandson, one great-granddaughter, three step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandson.
Graveside services were Oct. 19 at the Murphy Cemetery at Simmons with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
