Mr. Billy John Ellis, 84, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri.
He was born on September 15, 1924 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, the son of the late Jessie and Myrtle (Ragsdale) Ellis.
Billy served in the U.S. Army during World War II from February 19, 1945 until June 1, 1946.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Smith on June 6, 1950, and to this union one daughter, Billie Jo, was born.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; his daughter, Billie Jo Ellis of the home; one brother, Ed Ellis; two sisters, Leona Pavelka and June Ellis; a cousin, Flossie Murr; as well as many other relatives, neighbors and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mrs. Joyce Lee Ellis, 79, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at her home.
She was born on February 1, 1931 in Cowell, Arkansas, the daughter of James A. and Lilly L. (Lambdin) Smith.
Joyce was united in marriage to Billy J. Ellis on June 6, 1950, and to this union, one daughter, Billie Jo, was born. Joyce was a loving wife and mother. She was a very hard worker and loved to bake and tend to the garden as long as her health permitted.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy J. Ellis; and a brother, James Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jo Ellis of the home; three sisters, Anna Sain and Danace Phillips of Cabool and Carol Lynch of Newark, California; as well as many other relatives, neighbors and friends. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
