W. Chester McDowell, son of the late Charles Calvin and Mary Delilah Higginbotham McDowell, was born April 19, 1904 at Loyal, Oklahoma; and departed this life February 27, 1974 at West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 8 days.
He was a member of the Junction Hill Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by five brothers, Loid W. McDowell of Willow Springs, MO; Lonzo Ray McDowell of West Plains, MO; I.K. McDowell of West Plains, MO; Herman B. McDowell of Hutchinson, KS; and Clarence C. McDowell of Booneville, MO; three sisters, Beulah McDowell of Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Lula Meyer of Loyal, OK; and Mrs. Ruby Marriott of Grandview, MO;
His parents and seven brothers preceded him in death.
Interment in Howell Valley Cemetery.
