Ella Florence Schull was born in White County, Indiana, on June 20, 1877, and departed this life on April 19, 1943, at the age of 65
years and 10 months. She was the eldest daughter of Jasper and Purley
Schull.
On October 11, 1899 she was married to Offa T. Kruse at Emery, South Dakota. To this union were born nine children: Charles T. of Nevada, Mo.; Jessie, of the home; Mrs. Johannah Grogan, of: Grogan, Mo.; John of Emery, South Dakota; Jasper, of the home; and David of Camp Barkley, Texas, She is also survived by a nephew, Clarence Grogan, of Columbia, Mo.; a son-in-law, Luther Grogan; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alice, Kruse; three grandchildren, Dewayne and Donald Kruse, and Elsie Marie Grogan. Three brothers and one sister also survive.
Her husband passed away September 25, 1915. Three children, Esther, William and an infant son preceded their mother in death.
Mrs. Kruse was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church, having
accepted Christ as her personal Savior in August 1921. She has lived in the Pine Creek community for more than 50 years.
Funeral services were held at the Freedom Church Thursday afternoon, Rev. McPhail, of Willow Springs, officiating, interment following in the Freedom Cemetery, under the direction of the Elliott
Funeral Home.
