Vonda L. Hogan, 76, daughter of Garland and Virgie Keeter, was born Jan. 21, 1926, at Salem, Ark. She died April 20, 2002, at her home at Simmons following a lengthy ill-ness.
She was office manager for Sommers White Vision Clinic in Springfield for 18 years before she and her husband, Alvin, returned to the family farm in the Simmons community in 1986.
She enjoyed raising cattle, gardening and living on the farm with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Garland Frank; and her parents.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Hogan of Hermitage; one son, Al Hogan of Cabool; a sister, Vila Williams of Cabool; a brother, Bill Keeter of Houston; and two grandsons.
Services were April 24 at the Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cordie Wimberley officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery at Solo.
