DEATH OF MRS. THOMAS FREED
Passed away at 1;40 O'clock This Afternoon After a Month's Illness
Mrs. Josephine, whife of Thomas Freed, died at her home, 918 East Chestnut Street this afternoon, each an illness of four weeks of complications arising from a severe case of measles.
Mrs. Freed was one of the pioneer residents of Jasper county and was a little over 62 years of age. She was a member of the Christian Church and was loved and respecteddd by a large circle of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Freed's family consists of two married daughters,
Mrs Sarah L. Shaffer and Mrs. Della May Stanton, both residents of Carthage.
Mrs. Freed's only brother and sister, W. T. Walters of Emporia, Kansas and Mrs. Clara V. Higdon, of this city were with her when the end came.
The funeral was conducted at the Christian Church
Rev. J. T. McGarvey officiated
