The Steele Enterprise, Steele, Missouri, Friday, 21 June 1957:

Funeral services were held at the Steele Baptist Church Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Lucy L. Pritchard, who passed away at her home Thursday night. Rev. W.H. Cook of Blytheville, former pastor of the Steele Baptist Church, officiated with Rev. Crews, pastor of the Holland Baptist Church assisting. Interment was in the Holly Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Pritchard, who was 88 years of age, was born in Carroll County, Tennessee, but had lived near Steele for the past 43 years. Her family has been very instrumental in the improvement of the community, church, and school. She had been sick for some time.

Surviving are five sons: Frank Pritchard, Bragg City; Carlie Pritchard, Caruthersville; Willie Pritchard, Holland; Orval and Rupert Pritchard of Steele; two daughters: Mrs. Ester Dodd, Portageville, and Mrs. Pearl Dodd, Steele; 31 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Delmer Pritchard, Rayburn Pritchard, Junior Ladd, Charles Pritchard, Jackie Ladd, and Leonard Pritchard.

Honorary pallbearers were Mack Dodd, Odell Dodd, Chester Barnes, J.W. Rinehart, Herbert Ketchum and Ralph Ketchum.
