Funeral services were held August 16, 1976 at German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel, Steele, for Hubert Franklin Nunnery, 67, who died August 14, 1976 at his home southwest of Denton. He apparently suffered a heart attack.

The son of the late Isom and Polly Nunnery, he was born November 18, 1908 at Denton.

He lived almost all his life on the family farm near Denton and was a farmer until his retirement. In recent years he cared for and lived with his mother, Mrs. Polly Shultz.

The Rev. J.C. Joyner of Kennett officiated at the service. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. Polly Shultz of the home; and two sisters, Mrs. Nola Parnell of Steele and Mrs. Beulah Tennison of Kennett. He also leaves a host of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Garry Parnell, Harold Scott, Bynum Hester, Russell Weaver, Verlon Green, and Chester James.
